Stan Jones and Chris King joined forces in March 1987 to form Jones King Partnership and in 1989 the Partnership became a limited liability company, based in Bristol.

Another office in Northampton was established in 2005 when a major educational PFI project was undertaken.

Chris retired in June 2006 and four new directors were appointed:
